Join hosts Chris and Krista as they take you on a bicycle journey to harvest herbs from local farms on Lopez Island, Washington, and then head back to the Edenwild to make ice cream with liquid nitrogen.

Harvesting local fruits or herbs is a fantastic way to connect with nature and learn about the medicinal properties of different plants. Not only will you gain knowledge about herbal remedies, but you'll also get to enjoy the fruits of your labor by incorporating these fresh fruits or herbs into your very own ice cream. And best of all, with Dairy and Sugar-free options available, this experience is open to everyone.

The Experience

You will start by heading to a local farm with Chris and Krista to harvest various fruits and herbs. They'll provide different options, what flavors they will impart, and tips on picking and handling them properly. Once you have gathered enough ingredients, you'll head back to the commercial kitchen at the Edenwild.

Next, you'll choose your preferred base - dairy, sugar-free, or both - and mix it with your ingredients. And now for the fun part! The ice cream will be made with liquid nitrogen, creating incredibly smooth and creamy ice cream in seconds. You'll be able to watch as the liquid nitrogen works its magic and transforms your ingredients into a delicious frozen treat.

Once your ice cream is complete, you'll get to enjoy it!

The workshop lasts 1-2 hours and includes all ingredients and materials needed to make your ice cream.
